Community Transport

The Parishes of Tickton and Routh are served by three community transport services. Details are outlined below.

The Hornsea Medibus operates from Monday to Friday and provides door to door transport for residents who have no other means of getting to hospital or other health appointments. It can be booked through East Riding’s Call Centre on 03456 445 959.

The Holderness MiBus is a transport service for people who are unable to use bus services. It can be booked on the number above. The service operates from Hornsea but it is currently only available in Routh although with sufficient demand the service might be extended to include Tickton.  Tickton residents who are interested in using the MiBus service should ring the East Riding Council’s Call Centre on 03456 445 959 to register for future bookings. The service takes residents to either Beverley town centre or Morrison’s supermarket and is only available on a Monday picking up in Routh at 9.40 am returning at 12.20 pm.

Beverley Community Lift
Our Parishes are also served by Beverley Community Lift who operate a community car and minibus scheme. Details can be found on their website  The service is for residents who cannot easily use other forms of transport. Most people use the service for medical appointments but it might be used for visiting a friend. The contact number is 01482 868082.

Both Medibus and MiBus charge a fare of £10 return reduced to £5 for concessionary bus pass holders. Beverley Community Lift accepts donations.
