Notification of temporary up-coming road closure – Weel Road, Tickton 

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC WEEL ROAD, WEEL (PART)

Notice is hereby given that:

The East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Weel Road, Weel (between Crown & Anchor Pub & Weel Road bridge) commencing Thursday 2 September 2021 to enable maintenance works to the river bank to prevent flooding.

The Road Closure is necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed within the same day.

The alternative route for traffic affected by this closure will be via Grovehill Road, Grovehill Road roundabout, Swinemoor Lane, A1035 (Tickton by-pass), Main Street, Tickton & the remainder of Weel Road.

Access will be maintained for Emergency Services only & resident’s access only.
